Our educators continue to undertake professional learning that strengthens our approach to First Nations perspectives and learning at Chapel Hill Community Kindy.
Last Friday, Fiona and Michelle attended the National First Nations Education Conference at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The conference provided valuable ideas for extending our Reconciliation Action Plan, developing deeper learning experiences for the children and incorporating the 8 Ways of Learning into everyday practice.
Fiona also recently completed a webinar about storytelling using Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander books and will participate in further professional development focused on preparing children for Prep.
These opportunities support our educators to keep reflecting, learning and building respectful, meaningful approaches across the kindergarten program.
